What is Corneal transplantation?

The central transparent part of the eye, called cornea when
diseased can be transplanted with another received by means
of eye donations following death. This is a major surgery
and takes about an hour or so. The success rate is over 90%,
which is considered good in any organ transplantation. The
rehabilitation process takes2-3 weeks and is completed in
about three months. Glasses are usually required after this.
