DIY Recipe: Cannabis-Infused Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole

When the Thanksgiving feast ends, odds are your fridge will be packed to the brim with leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and more. If you’re looking for a creative way to use your leftovers, try our leftover casserole recipe.


Below, we’ll outline two ways to make this dish: one version if you’re using Thanksgiving leftovers already infused with cannabis, and another method if you’re using regular leftovers but want to add marijuana to your casserole. We’ve included some of the most common Thanksgiving leftovers here, but you can add or subtract according to what you’ve got on hand.

  • 2–3 cups leftover stuffing
  • 2–3 cups leftover turkey
  • 4 cups leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup leftover gravy
  • Shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
  • 8–16 mL of cannabis tincture (only if you’re using non-infused leftovers)

How to Make a Casserole With Previously Infused Foods

It’s important to note that adding multiple layers of infused foods will increase the cannabis quantity per serving. If you and your guests are comfortable with a high dose of cannabis, then it shouldn’t be a problem. If this is something you’re worried about, we suggest limiting infused leftovers to just one ingredient and using non-infused foods for the others.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Fill the bottom of the baking dish with leftover stuffing, pushing down lightly to make this bottom layer more compact. Add leftover turkey as your second layer and cover with gravy. For your top layer, use a baking spatula to spread the mashed potatoes. Cover the entire dish with cheese (optional) and bake for 30–35 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Recipe serves 8.

How to Make a Casserole Without Previously Infused Foods

If you’re using non-infused leftovers but would like to add cannabis to your casserole, follow the directions above, but add a marijuana tincture to one of your ingredients. Infusing the gravy or mashed potatoes will likely be your easiest option.

We suggest adding 8 mL of tincture (or about 1 mL per serving) for a lower dose of cannabis. If you want more potent results, infuse with up to 16 mL of tincture (or about 2 mL per serving). Simply add the marijuana tincture to the gravy or mashed potatoes and stir until completely incorporated.
