Is Weed Legal in Maryland?

Legalization Status
Recreational cannabis is legal for adults 21+; medical cannabis is legal for adults 18+ and minors with a caregiver.
Medical Documents Requirements
Qualifying patients must be certified by a physician. Medical cards are needed to purchase cannabis sold as part of the medical cannabis program.
Possession Limits
Adults are permitted to possess up to 1.5 ounces of cannabis flower, up to 12 grams of concentrated cannabis, or a total amount of cannabis that does not exceed 750 milligrams of THC.
Home Growing Limitations
Residents may cultivate two plants in their home (regardless of how many adults older than 21 live in the residence). Medical patients who are registered with the Maryland Cannabis Administration are permitted to cultivate four plants.
