The process of vaporization involves heating cannabis flower or concentrates to a temperature that turns the active compounds (cannabinoids and terpenes) into vapor. Vape pens are a type of vaporizer designed specifically to vaporize cannabis distillates and oils. They are called pens because the design of the vape device closely resembles that of a traditional pen. A vape pen consists of two pieces: a battery and cartridge.
There is very little research on cannabis vaporizing, studies over the years have shown that vaporizing does produce fewer carcinogenic compounds than smoking marijuana because it is heated but not combusted. Although cannabis smoke is less toxic than cigarette smoke, inhalation of any combustion product is less than desirable. Any type of smoke still contains gases and particulates that can create lung irritation and respiratory problems. In fact, over 100 toxins and compounds are released when cannabis is burned.

Vape pen effects will vary depending on the vape pen that you use. Sativa strains will be more uplifting and energizing, indicas will feel relaxing and are good for sleep, and a hybrid will have a combination of both effects. If you use a CBD vape pen, you may feel calm and relaxed, but still able to function. Pure CBD is non-psychoactive so it won’t give you that “stoned” feeling. CBD is also good for pain relief. It really just depends on the vape pen you are using. There are many different brands, with many different strains. In general, vape pens are very easy to use, have little odor and aren’t as irritating as smoking can be. In addition, they’re also portable, discreet, and great for on-the go. Vape pens are my preferred method of consumption.

Vaping is convenient because it can be done at any time without the presence of smoke or a heavy smell. It is very discrete and just as effective as smoking flower. Another advantage of vaping is that you are not inhaling smoke which may adversely affect. Vaping is less agitating to the lung tissue.
