Its an indica, and so should help you to sleep. Generally, you might want to consider edibles as a sleep aid, as they come on slower, and last longer. If you do smoke bud, it may send you to sleep, but then you may way soon after, sometimes with dreams waking you due to the THC. You would need to experiment with different options to see what works for you.
So I would look first for an indica based edible, perhaps a tincture or other edible.
