Q&A

What is the best treatment protocol for a thyroid nodule?

When a new nodule is noticed on the thyroid, it is best to first have it evaluated by a physician before treating it with any medication. There is always the possibility, though small, that the nodule could be malignant and would be best treated by surgical removal. It could also be benign, as most are, and treated conservatively.
