Q&A

What is the process in NYS? Will I have to do anything more besides applying online at the NYS website?

In New York State there are a few steps to go through before obtaining medical cannabis. In New York you need to have one of these qualifying conditions: cancer, positive status for HIV or AIDS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication of intractable spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathy, chronic pain as defined by 10 NYCRR ยง1004.2(a)(8)(xi), post-traumatic stress disorder or Huntington’s disease. If you have one of these conditions you must see a practitioner registered in NYS DOHโ€™s medical marijuana program. The practitioner will provided you with a certificate that you will use to register with the state. You can see one of our NY providers through by booking a telehealth appointment through the helloMD website. Once you have been given the certificate you will register online in the NYS website. Once approved you will receive you MMJ card via mail within 7 business days. Then you are able to visit a dispensary and purchase product. You can find more information about the program here:
