Is Weed Legal in Oregon?

Legalization Status
Recreational cannabis is legal for adults 21+; medical cannabis is legal for qualifying patients.
Medical Documents Requirements
The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program allows qualifying patients and a recommendation from their attending provider (physician) to receive a medical marijuana card. Application forms, an attending provider’s statement, proof of residency and identity and a fee must be submitted.
Possession Limits
For recreational users, public possession limits are: 1 ounce usable cannabis (dried leaves and flowers); 1 ounce cannabinoid extracts or concentrates; 16 ounces cannabinoid product (solid); 72 ounces cannabinoid product (liquid); 10 marijuana seeds; 4 immature cannabis plants. Private possession limits (on private property) are the same as above except for 8 ounces of usable cannabis (dried leaves and flowers) and 4 cannabis plants. Qualifying patients (or caregivers) are permitted to possess 24 ounces of usable cannabis; 16 ounces of a medical cannabinoid product (solid); 72 ounces of a medical cannabinoid product (liquid); 5 grams of cannabinoid extract; four immature cannabis plants; 50 seeds.
Home Growing Limitations
Residents can grow up to four plants on their property.
