Is Weed Legal in Utah?

Legalization Status

Recreational cannabis is currently illegal. Medical cannabis is legal for adult patients 18+ and minors with a caregiver (with approval from the Compassionate Use Board).

Medical Documents Requirements

Patients with qualifying conditions must see a registered qualified medical provider. Cards will be issued to those who fill out the required applications and are approved.

Possession Limits

Patients are not permitted to possess more than 113 grams of unprocessed cannabis (raw bud or flower in blister packs), and no more than 20 grams of total composite THC in all medicinal dosage forms.
