Is Weed Legal in Maine?

Legalization Status
Recreational cannabis is legal for adults 21+; medical cannabis is legal for adults 18+ and minors with a caregiver.
Medical Documents Requirements
The Maine Medical use of Cannabis Program allows patients to access medical cannabis. Patients who want a medical cannabis card must receive certification from a physician.
Possession Limits
Cannabis users are permitted to possess 2.5 ounces.
Home Growing Limitations
Adult residents (21+) are permitted to grow up to six mature plants and 12 immature plants at a time. (They can also have an unlimited number of seedlings.)
